Knife Skills Workshop – April 7, 2016

Knife Skills Workshop-FreshFoodinaFlash.com April 7, 2016If you can take only one cooking class, it should be a Knife Skills Class.  Our next class, Thursday, April 7, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m will be limited to only 10 students, so sign up early.  This class will change the way you cook.  Proper use of a Chef’s knife will cut your cooking time in half and you will enjoy preparing fresh food more than ever.

Learn the fundamentals of using a knife in this class. Learn what knives to own, how to keep your knife sharp, how to use your knife safely and different techniques using the tip, the heel and the center of the knife.  Each student will practice using their own knife and cutting board and take what they have chopped up home to use for another meal.  You will enjoy a freshly made dinner in the beginning of the class, then we will get to work and chop-chop-chop.  For this class, bring a Chef’s knife  (the knife in the picture on the red board) and a solid cutting board (wood or plastic) so you can practice.  A good sized Chef’s knife has a blade about eight inches in length, more or less.

Patricia K. Rose, of Fresh Food in a Flash will lead this hands-on cooking class on Thursday, April 7, 2016, 6:00-9:00 at the Holy Nativity Community Hall in Westchester.

Cooking Class fee is $60 when you reserve by April 4. Class limited to 10 students. You must reserve in advance for this class. To reserve your spot, email Patricia@FreshFoodinaFlash.com. Cooking Classes held at the Holy Nativity Community Hall, 6700 West 83rd Street, Westchester, CA  90045.
