UPDATE: THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED

My Spring Entertaining Cooking Class will be held in a new location on March 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.  Have you ever been to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad?  When you drive down the I-5 freeway on the way to San Diego, you can’t miss them.  You look to the left and the fields are ablaze with color.  With all the rain we’ve been having here in Southern California, the Flower Fields will be on fire this spring.  Perfect inspiration for a Spring Entertaining Cooking Class at the Flower Fields.

My friend, Chef Mary Papoulias-Platis, aka California Greek Girl, holds regular classes at the Flower Fields.  It’s a fabulous outdoor venue where you can enjoy the flowers, crafts and culinary classes.  Her upcoming schedule is here.

Mary has invited me to teach my Spring Entertaining Cooking Class as a guest chef on March 22, 2017.  If you are in the San Diego area, come join us for a Fresh Food in a Flash luncheon in the Flower Fields.  Here’s the class announcement:

Do you want something elegant to serve your guests but also easy for you to prepare?

Come join us as we enjoy this spring menu and learn how easy it is to make for your next dinner party.

Preparing your delicious meal will be our Guest Chef Patricia Rose. An experienced culinary teacher, that brings her many years in the kitchen to this delightful seasonal luncheon.

Menu:

Glazed Butterfly Shrimp with Rice Timbales and Asparagus

Elegant Green Salad decorated with Edible Flowers

Greek Yogurt Topped with Warm Strawberry and Chocolate Sauces

Our Kitchen Gardens is an outdoor venue, and included in this class will be a floral design and special food craft for a take home gift.
