The crisp days of Autumn harken to a cuisine that brings us back to home. After the wild days of summer, we want some true comfort food. The heat of the summer produces wonderful fruits and vegetables that we can put to work in creative ways. That’s the theme of this month’s Autumn Harvest Cooking Class on Thursday, October 13 at the Holy Nativity Community Hall.
Ripe pears, pumpkin and winter squash, corn, bell peppers, cranberries and more inspire this meal that we will make together.
Come join us for a delicious array of Autumn flavors including one of my favorite treats – a Pumpkin-Apple Chutney that you can make from the Halloween Jack-o-lantern.
Here’s what’s on the menu:
- Cornbread with Green Onions and Parmesan Cheese
- Butternut Squash and Cranberry Quinoa Salad
- Roast Turkey Breast with Pumpkin-Apple Chutney
- Mamacita’s Vegetarian Stuffed Peppers
- Pear and Dried Cherry Cobbler with Ginger-Chocolate Chip Biscuit Topping
Sign up today and experience this delicious Autumn Harvest meal on Thursday, October 13.
