It’s Autumn and time for the Thanksgiving Pie Season. To help you with your preparations, I will be holding my annual Pies and Tarts Cooking Class on Wednesday, November 8, 2017; 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. at the Holy Nativity Community Hall in Westchester, California.
In this class, you will learn how to make the Flaky and Foolproof Pie Crust. You will learn how to mix it; how to roll it out; how to get it into the pie tin; how to flute your pie pastry, how to blind bake a pie shell, tips for freezing and more. You will take home your very own pie to share with friends or save for Thanksgiving Day. I will be serving you a savory pie for dinner along with a salad and a glass of wine to enjoy as you are rolling and shaping your pie.
Here’s the pies we will be making in this class:
- Foolproof Pie Crust
- Pina Colada Cream Pie
- Pear Ginger Pie
- Pumpkin Brownie Swirl Pie
- Cranberry Walnut Tart
- Whiskey Apple Crumble Pie
…and a Spinach and Bacon (or not) Quiche to enjoy while baking your very own pie
