I’ve never been to Greece (need to change that), but I’ve seen Mamma Mia (the play and the movie) too many times to admit and can’t pass up a Greek Festival. I’ve frequented numerous Greek restaurants in Los Angeles over the years, including the late celebrated Papadakis Taverna in San Pedro. So what took me so long to host a Greek cooking class? Join us on Thursday, February 11 at the newly remodeled Holy Nativity Community Hall for our first Greek Favorites cooking class and you will get to make and taste some delicious Greek dishes. There may even be dancing in the aisles, but hopefully no plates will be broken. Our own little Greek festival will emerge.
Here’s what’s on the menu:
- Meat and Vegetarian Dolmades
- Authentic Greek Salad
- Shrimp with Feta and Tomato Sauce
- Stuffed Zucchini with Avgolemono Sauce
- Baklava
Patricia K. Rose, of Fresh Food in a Flash, will lead this hands-on cooking class on Thursday, February 11, 2016, 6:00-9:00 at the Holy Nativity Community Hall in Westchester. Once we complete the cooking, sit down and enjoy a meal you and your new friends made together with a glass of wine.
Cooking Class fee $50 when you reserve by February 8, $55 thereafter if space available. To reserve your spot, email Patricia@FreshFoodinaFlash.com. Classes take place at Holy Nativity Community Hall, 6700 West 83rd Street, Westchester, CA 90045
